You know those extra crunchy, buttery, little half-baked kernels you find at the bottom of your popcorn bucket? Our founder, Joy Bauer, is obsessed with them! So much so, it became a top priority to nail a snack made entirely of these addictive and crunchy gems. When we hit gold, Joy sent a batch to the President (not kidding).
As for the name? This one—appropriately—was Joy’s idea. And being that mr. popular earned an instant cult following in the New York area and at NBC studios (Kathie Lee and Hoda share the obsession), the name couldn’t be more perfect.
We source our corn right here in the heartland of the US of A. And both the corn and the oil we use are 100% pure, non-GMO (not genetically modified). These whole-grain kernels provide oodles of fiber (5 grams per bag), satisfying crunch and mouthwatering flavor—all for just 190 calories per bag.
How do we make it?
Well, that’s definitely one of the most frequently asked questions we get. It’s all about a precisely controlled roast, a drizzle of oil, a sprinkling of sea salt and a little Nourish magic. Sure, you could try it yourself—but no, you probably can’t make it at home…sorry!
Add some popularity to your recipes:
- Soup Topper: Sprinkle a bag into a bowl of steaming hot soup for a satisfying crunch and extra hit of fiber.
- POPular Trail Mix: Mix a bag with 1 to 2 tablespoons each of peanuts and dried fruit, like raisins, cranberries or chopped apricots. Consider a sprinkling of dark chocolate chips, too.
- Faux Croutons: Jazz up your salad by tossing a few kernels onto your greens for a whole-grain alternative to the typical white flour crouton.
